Our horse was Marble and our driver was Mo. They were both very nice. We met the owner who was a very nice man. The whole experience was wonderful and I would recommend this for either something special or if you just want a unique and relaxing experience.

We did the 90 minute historic tour for our 40th wedding anniversary, and it exceeded our expectations! The carriage was very comfortable and cozy, and even though it was a chilly day (below freezing), we were bundled up warmly beneath carriage blankets. The ride was very relaxing, and our driver, Arthur, was a font of information about the history of the area.
I proposed to my fiancé on this carriage ride it was beautiful and amazing. He had no clue, and was surprised when he seen the big horse waiting for us.The horse was a joy to listen to trotting through downtown Minneapolis.
Even in the rain the carriage ride was amazing and worth the short journey around downtown. You are able to see things you’d never notice walking or driving. Doing it again this summer!
What a wonderful experience – our tour guide was fabulous, telling a little about the history of the buildings we went by, how she really enjoys her job and some history about the company. I would highly recommend taking a carriage ride. I can’t wait to do another one. Thank you!

Hire a Carriage for a Special Event
Our horse-drawn carriages are a popular option for wedding parties when we decorate the carriage with flowers and greenery and add a “Just Married” sign. Our horses are gentle and used to music and drumming which makes them ideal for another popular event, Baraat. The horse and handler can be dressed in traditional clothing. We don’t stop at weddings, our carriages are regularly hired for proms, quinceañeras, corporate events, community parties, and funerals.
Who Are The Hitching Company?
We are a team of 18 full employees dedicated to providing new experiences through our Minneapolis carriage rides. Our product is not transportation, although we do physically move people, we transport people mentally with the sounds, aromas, and sensation of both the horse and carriage adding ambiance suiting the occasion.
