About Weddings
Call or email us from our website requesting the day and location of the ride. We will return your phone call or email within 24 hours to confirm your date is available and with a price quote for the location. Once you decide to reserve the carriage we will send out a contract with all the information.
Yes, we require a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to confirm your reservation. The balance is due two weeks before the wedding.
The carriage can travel up to four miles one way. Depending on the horse and temperature outside, four miles can take up to one hour. Once at the destination, the horse and carriage to stay to give
guests rides.
There is a top on the carriage that will be put up if it is raining.
In the event of a complete weather disaster (thunderstorm, snowstorm, or extremely cold temperatures) The Hitching Company will refund everything except the deposit, within two weeks of the scheduled date. You must contact us at least 4 hours in advance on the day of the event and it must be weather-related. If The Hitching Company is there and there is lightning at the time of the ride, The Hitching Company will delay the start time by up to 1 hour or when the lightning stops whichever occurs first. If the Hitching Company is at the event there is no refund regardless of the weather.

- Must sign a liability release waiver prior to the ceremony.
- The Hitching Company requires the groom to practice getting on and off the horse. An appointment is set up before the ceremony.
- Only the groom is permitted to ride the horse at all times, the handler will always be with the horse and groom.
- Guests will always be a safe distance away from the horse per the handler.
